Rendmaw, Creaking Nest is an artifact-heavy commander deck whose primary win condition is combat. The deck floods the board with tapped, goaded 2/2 flying Bird tokens by repeatedly playing cards with two or more types, then weaponizes those tokens — since they are permanently goaded to attack opponents other than you, pumping the entire Bird army with effects like Coat of Arms turns them into enormous threats aimed squarely at opponents while you sit safely behind the goad protection. Getting four or more Rendmaw triggers is straightforward given the density of multi-type permanents, making the Bird army large quickly. The deck leverages a dense package of cheap and free artifacts, cost-reduction effects, and recursive loops as support. A secondary combo line centered on Scrap Trawler and Myr Retriever can generate infinite death triggers, ETB triggers, and colorless mana when combined with a sacrifice outlet like Ashnod's Altar and any cost-reducer, closing games through triggered effects like Throne of the God-Pharaoh when the combat gameplan is stalled.
