Mizzix of the Izmagnus sits at the center of this deck, accumulating experience counters by casting expensive instants and sorceries to progressively reduce their cost, ultimately enabling massive spells for little or no mana. The deck builds toward overwhelming X-spell finishers like Crackle with Power and Comet Storm, which can eliminate multiple opponents once Mizzix has enough experience counters to make them effectively free or nearly so. Supporting pieces generate tokens and deal incidental damage whenever instants and sorceries are cast, while recursion spells like Past in Flames allow the deck to refuel and chain spells together for a explosive finishing turn.
