Gyruda, Doom of Depths serves as both commander and companion, repeatedly entering the battlefield to mill all players and steal the best even-mana creature from the results, chaining this effect by copying Gyruda with the many clone effects in the deck to trigger additional mill-and-steal loops. The deck runs an extensive suite of clone spells and copy-creatures so that each Gyruda trigger can find another copy of Gyruda or a powerful threat like Archon of Cruelty or Razaketh, the Foulblooded, generating overwhelming card advantage and board presence through repeated enters-the-battlefield effects. Deadeye Navigator provides a repeatable flicker engine to reset Gyruda or other high-value creatures, while Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and reanimation spells ensure the deck can recover from disruption and maintain its loop through a long game.
