Demons

Be'lakor, the Dark Master Commander Deck

by upat1am100 cards

Be'lakor turns every Demon that enters into a burn spell: the Demon itself deals damage equal to its power to any target, and Be'lakor refills the hand on entry by drawing one card per Demon controlled. The deck runs big flying Demons with strong enter-the-battlefield effects, cheats them out through reanimation, and repeats their entry with flicker effects so each one hits again for 5 to 8 damage while drawing cards, tutoring or killing creatures. Tutors, counterspells and cost reducers keep the engine running. How it wins: It burns opponents out with repeated Demon entries amplified by Purphoros pings and trigger doublers, often closing with Rite of Replication on a Demon (kicked for five copies) or Liliana's Contract's four-Demon upkeep win. Key roles: - Demon payload: Big Demons whose entry effects (tutoring, drawing, removal or edicts) come with a damage trigger from Be'lakor equal to the Demon's own power, so every entry is both value and burn. (Rune-Scarred Demon, Burning-Rune Demon, Lord of Change) - Reanimation: Cheap ways to put discarded or destroyed Demons straight back from the graveyard, skipping their high costs and still triggering Be'lakor. Tutors like Burning-Rune Demon feed the graveyard too. (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Victimize) - Flicker loop: Effects that exile and return Demons or Be'lakor itself, repeating both the burn and the card draw, including Thassa's free end-step blink and Displacer Kitten blinking off every noncreature spell. (Displacer Kitten, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, Ghostly Flicker) - Trigger multiplication: Pieces that double or add to each entry. They copy Demons, make triggers fire twice, or add a ping to each opponent whenever a creature enters, turning single Demons into lethal bursts. (Rite of Replication, Roaming Throne, Purphoros, God of the Forge) - Tribal acceleration and card flow: Demon-specific cost reduction, tutoring and draw-on-entry make the expensive creature base castable and keep the hand full. (Urza's Incubator, Kindred Discovery, Demonic Counsel) - Control shell: A dense suite of counterspells, free spells and board wipes protects the engine and resets opposing boards. The Demons themselves then rebuild through recursion afterward. (Mana Drain, Deflecting Swat, Toxic Deluge)
