This is a Rats tribal deck in Rakdos. Totentanz turns every nontoken creature death into a 1/1 Rat that can't block, and a large group of Rat creatures and token makers keep the board flooded. Sacrifice outlets and death triggers convert the creatures into cards, mana, and drain, while Rat lords and count-based payoffs make the growing swarm lethal. How it wins: The deck floods the board with Rats, pumps them with Rat-count payoffs like Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm, Ogre Chitterlord, and Rat Colony, and attacks with menace and deathtouch, while drain triggers and Valley Rotcaller chip away opponents' life totals. Key cards: - Rat token engines: These make Rats every turn and fuel every count-based effect, led by Lord Skitter, Sewer King and Ogre Chitterlord. - Rat count payoffs: These scale with the number of Rats, with Pack Rat and Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm turning a wide board into huge attackers. - Rat evasion and combat enablers: These make the Rats hard to block or deadly in combat, with Piper of the Swarm giving menace and Ogre Slumlord giving deathtouch. - Sacrifice outlets and death payoffs: These turn creatures and Rats into drain, cards, and more Rats, with Ashnod's Altar and Zulaport Cutthroat working alongside Totentanz. - Rat recursion and tutors: These keep a steady supply of Rats flowing, with Ratcatcher finding one every upkeep and Karumonix, the Rat King digging for more.
