The deck revolves around Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend as a self-reinforcing engine: drawing cards grows Toothy with +1/+1 counters while Pir adds an extra counter to each counter placement, and when Toothy leaves and re-enters the battlefield it converts its accumulated counters into a massive burst of card draw, which in turn grows Toothy even larger. The deck accelerates this loop through mass hand-refill spells, blink and flicker effects to repeatedly trigger Toothy's leave-the-battlefield ability, and counter-doubling effects like Solidarity of Heroes and Vorel of the Hull Clade to rapidly inflate Toothy's size. The primary win condition is Simic Ascendancy, which accumulates growth counters alongside every counter placed on Toothy and wins the game once it reaches twenty, while evasion-granting equipment ensures Toothy can also close out games as a massive commander threat.
