The deck's primary goal is to transform Kefka, Ruler of Ruin from his weaker front face into his devastating back face by forcing opponents to sacrifice permanents and generating enough mana to pay the eight-cost activation. Once transformed, Kefka draws cards equal to any life loss opponents suffer on your turn, so the deck pairs him with damage-dealing creatures and spells that drain life or deal damage repeatedly to flood your hand. Laboratory Maniac serves as an alternate win condition, threatening to win by drawing out your library once Kefka's engine generates an overwhelming stream of cards from continuous opponent life loss.
