Dromar, the Banisher leads a control-oriented strategy that uses counterspells, board wipes, and taxing effects to slow the game down while Dromar repeatedly attacks and bounces opposing creatures back to hand by choosing a color, effectively locking out creature-based strategies. The deck supports this by filling the graveyard through looting and discard effects, then leveraging a suite of reanimation spells to cheat large threats like Akroma, Angel of Wrath and Spirit of the Night into play ahead of schedule. Built exclusively from the old-border card pool spanning Alpha through Scourge and played at 25 life, the deck leans on Recurring Nightmare and similar recursion engines to continuously rebuy enters-the-battlefield or death triggers while maintaining inevitability through card advantage and graveyard value.
