Mono-black Demon tribal built around Ardyn, the Usurper, which gives every Demon menace, lifelink and haste. Each combat on the controller's turn, Starscourge exiles a creature card from any graveyard and makes a token copy that is a 5/5 black Demon, so self-mill, tutoring to the graveyard and a heavy removal suite all feed a stream of hasty, lifelinking Demon copies. Cost reducers, mana rocks and Swamp-based ramp get the eight-mana commander and the six-to-eight-drop Demon curve online. Card-draw enchantments and death-trigger engines refill the hand while the board grows. How it wins: A wide board of evasive, hasty, lifelinking Demons beats opponents down, backed by drain effects that end games outright and an alternate win from controlling four differently named Demons. Key roles: - Graveyard fuel for Starscourge: Self-mill and dumping creatures into the graveyard stock targets for Ardyn, the Usurper's token copies, and any creature removed from an opponent's board becomes fodder too. Reanimation spells also bring back the biggest threats. (Buried Alive, Stitcher's Supplier, Reanimate) - Demon army: Big flying Demons carry sacrifice, edict and wipe effects. Under Ardyn, the Usurper they all gain haste, menace and lifelink, so they pressure opponents immediately and their enter-the-battlefield effects get copied by Starscourge. (Archfiend of Depravity, Reiver Demon, Rune-Scarred Demon) - Demon tutoring and assembly: Search effects and recurring Demon fetchers find specific Demons, both to build the board and to assemble four different names. (Liliana's Contract, Blood Speaker, Demonic Counsel) - Death-trigger value engine: Removal and forced sacrifices trigger permanents that draw cards, grow, make tokens or ping opponents whenever creatures die. This turns attrition into card advantage and damage. (Harvester of Souls, Kothophed, Soul Hoarder, Syr Konrad, the Grim) - Cost reduction and black mana: Discounts on black and creature spells, mana rocks, Swamp-counting payoffs and Demon-restricted mana make the expensive curve castable and boost devotion. (Heartless Summoning, Bontu's Monument, Séance Board) - Drain finishers: Devotion and X-life drains plus Demon-conditional life loss close games and offset the life the deck pays for its draw engines. (Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Exsanguinate, Unholy Annex // Ritual Chamber)
