Lazav, the Multifarious serves as a one-card combo engine, using its ability to copy creature cards in the graveyard to assemble lethal attacks by stacking abilities across multiple activations — for example, copying an unblockable creature to sneak through, then copying Vector Asp to add infect, requiring only 10 poison counters to eliminate a player. The deck floods the graveyard through surveil, self-mill, looting, and tutors like Buried Alive to set up the exact creature cards Lazav needs, while cost-reduction effects make chaining activations within a single turn affordable. Countermagic and interaction protect the commander long enough to execute the one-shot kill, making Lazav a consistent and resilient voltron-combo threat.
