Shiko is a value-loop deck built around its commander's enter trigger, which exiles a cheap nonland card from the graveyard and casts a free copy. The list fills the graveyard with low-cost spells through looting and wheel effects, then flickers, bounces and re-enters Shiko over and over, rebuying cantrips, removal and enter-trigger creatures each time. Blink spells, Kitten-style flicker engines and token copies turn every noncreature spell into another Shiko trigger. Cards like Vega and Candlekeep Sage turn each free copy into extra cards. How it wins: It grinds opponents out with repeated card advantage and free spells, then closes with Thassa's Oracle (often copied from the graveyard by Shiko or looped through Underworld Breach), Displacer Kitten blink chains, Molten Gatekeeper pings, or Delayed Blast Fireball sweeps under counterspell protection. Key roles: - Graveyard stocking: Loot, rummage and wheel effects draw deep and discard the cheap spells and creatures that Shiko's enter trigger later recasts for free. Many of them can be cast again from the graveyard. (Faithless Looting, Frantic Search, Windfall) - Shiko re-entry engine: Single-target and repeatable flicker effects reset Shiko so it triggers again and again. Several are themselves cheap enough to be copied back by Shiko. (Ephemerate, Soulherder, Displacer Kitten) - Off-hand casting payoffs: Free copies and flashback or escape casts all count as spells cast from outside the hand, and Shiko leaving and re-entering draws cards. This turns each loop into a card advantage engine. (Vega, the Watcher, Candlekeep Sage, Dour Port-Mage) - Combo and loop finishers: Shiko or a graveyard-cast enabler recasts a low-value win condition or sets up repeatable triggers. Spell-copying and tutor creatures assemble these pieces. (Thassa's Oracle, Underworld Breach, Dualcaster Mage) - Creature tutors and chains: Creature tutors find small enter-trigger pieces. Each new creature entering also adds damage through the ping engine. (Imperial Recruiter, Recruiter of the Guard, Molten Gatekeeper) - Free interaction shell: Commander-conditional free spells, cheap counters and a spell lock protect Shiko and the combo turn. Cheap removal keeps the table in check and can itself be rebought by Shiko. (Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, Grand Abolisher)
