Hei Bai, Forest Guardian is a Shrine-focused deck that uses the commander's enter-the-battlefield tutor to rapidly assemble a collection of legendary enchantments, then leverages that growing Shrine count to generate waves of Spirit creature tokens. The deck pairs enchantress draw engines with blink effects that repeatedly retrigger Hei Bai to find additional Shrines, while copying situationally powerful Shrines like Honden of Cleansing Fire or Honden of Infinite Rage to multiply their board-affecting abilities and maintain control. The five-color activated ability rewards building a wide Shrine board by converting each legendary enchantment into a 1/1 Spirit token, creating a combat force that only engages with other Spirit creatures, and the snowballing nature of Shrine synergies means each new enchantment amplifies every other one already in play.
