Jyoti, Moag Ancient
Jyoti, Moag Ancient Commander Deck
This is a Simic lands deck that turns its mana base into an army. It ramps hard with extra land drops, fetches and graveyard land recursion, and every land entering fuels landfall engines that draw cards, make mana and create tokens. Jyoti, Moag Ancient anchors the plan: at the beginning of each combat (every combat, not just its controller's) it gives land creatures +X/+X equal to its own power, so the many effects that animate lands, plus the Forest Dryad tokens, become a large evasive, hasty force. How it wins: It animates a wide board of land creatures, pumps them with Jyoti, Moag Ancient and other anthems, gives them flying or trample, and swings for lethal, with Craterhoof Behemoth or a big Finale of Devastation as finishers and Scute Swarm or Avenger of Zendikar token floods as backup. Key roles: - Land animation: Turns lands into hasty attackers each turn so Jyoti, Moag Ancient's combat pump has bodies to hit, including land creature tokens and mass animation for alpha strikes (Toph, Earthbending Master, Nissa, Who Shakes the World, Sylvan Awakening). - Extra land drops and recursion: Puts several lands into play per turn and replays them from the graveyard, with fetches and sacrifice lands giving repeatable landfall loops (Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Ramunap Excavator, Life from the Loam). - Landfall value engines: Each land drop draws cards, adds mana, makes Treasure or Clues, or steals creatures, and Ancient Greenwarden doubles these triggers (Tatyova, Benthic Druid, Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, Ancient Greenwarden). - Land creature payoffs: Rewards for attacking with lands, such as flying, vigilance, extra anthems, card draw on combat damage, and locking opponents' mana while untapping its own (Tatyova, Steward of Tides, Jolrael, Voice of Zhalfir, Nature's Will). - Creatures as lands: Makes nontoken creatures into Forest lands, so they gain Jyoti, Moag Ancient's pump, return as lands when they die, and supercharge Forest-matters mana like Gaea's Cradle (Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, Yedora, Grave Gardener, Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth). - Token swarm finishers: Landfall token makers and mass pump end games once enough lands have hit play (Scute Swarm, Avenger of Zendikar, Craterhoof Behemoth).
