Shadowfax, Lord of Horses enables a fast combat-based engine by cheating creatures directly onto the battlefield attacking, allowing the deck to generate explosive board states while a suite of stax pieces — taxing noncreature spells, forcing opponents' permanents to enter tapped, and restricting spell frequency — slows opponents down enough to win through combat. The deck combos off by copying creatures with haste using Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker alongside Zealous Conscripts or Combat Celebrant to generate infinite combats or infinite tokens, with Twinflame serving as an additional route to assembling these lines. A shell of fast mana, efficient tutors, and interaction like Silence effects protect and accelerate these combos, often landing them as early as turn two or three.
