Aesi rewards you for playing and repeatedly replaying lands by drawing a card each time a land enters under your control, turning a high land count and land recursion effects into a massive card advantage engine. The deck accelerates by using its extra land drop to flood the board with lands faster than opponents can respond, fueling further draws and maintaining an ever-growing hand. This self-sustaining loop of lands entering triggering draws, which find more lands and ways to bounce or recur lands, allows the deck to bury opponents in resources and win through overwhelming board presence or a critical mass of landfall-triggered effects. A key value line is Zuran Orb + Splendid Reclamation: deliberately sacrifice a large number of lands at instant speed for life gain, then return them all to the battlefield simultaneously, triggering Aesi for each one and refilling the hand massively. Crucible of Worlds, Ramunap Excavator, and Aftermath Analyst all further enable replaying lands from the graveyard, making land sacrifice a resource rather than a cost. Lands naturally enter the graveyard through fetchlands, Harrow, Roiling Regrowth, Crop Rotation, and similar effects, keeping the graveyard stocked for recursion.
