Kefka, Court Mage drives a Grixis discard deck. Each time he enters or attacks, every player discards and Kefka refills based on card types. The list stacks punishers that turn every opponent discard into cards, mana, tokens, damage or stolen spells, using wheel-style effects and its own discard outlets as fuel. Around this sits a reanimation package that dumps big creatures and Incarnations into the graveyard and cheats them back, plus enter-the-battlefield creatures that get re-triggered with flicker and copy effects. Late in the game Kefka can pay eight to force a sacrifice and flip into Ruler of Ruin, who turns any life an opponent loses on Kefka's turn into a flood of cards. How it wins: Opponents are drained out through stacked discard and life-loss triggers, with Gray Merchant, Archon of Cruelty, Tinybones' ten-point activation, Bolas's Citadel and Ruler of Ruin's card draw finishing them off. Key roles: - Symmetrical discard engines: These force everyone, or every opponent, to discard while giving Kefka's side the card advantage, so the Kefka triggers recur and the hand stays full (Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, Syphon Mind, Dark Deal). - Discard punishers: These cash in each opponent discard as cards, mana, Zombies, direct damage or spells stolen from exile (Waste Not, Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance, Tinybones, Bauble Burglar). - Self-discard and graveyard filling: Loot and wheel effects pitch big creatures, madness threats and Incarnations, and Monument to Endurance profits from every discard (Faithless Looting, Monument to Endurance, Frantic Search). - Reanimation: Archons, Sheoldred and other bombs come back from the graveyard cheaply, and Wonder and Anger in the yard give the team flying and haste (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Archon of Cruelty). - ETB value and doubling: Flicker effects, clones and Harmonic Prodigy re-trigger Kefka's Wizard trigger and other discard or drain enter effects (Harmonic Prodigy, Displacer Kitten, Ghostly Flicker). - Life-loss finishers: Drain effects punish emptied hands and draws, and on Kefka's turn they feed Ruler of Ruin's card draw (Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Bloodchief Ascension).
