This deck revolves around Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, who fuels himself by sacrificing creatures to draw cards and draining opponents with life loss triggers each time a creature dies, with the goal of triggering his transformation into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel four times in a single turn to generate a permanent emblem that doubles the drain effect for the rest of the game. The deck is built around a Zombie tribal engine that floods the board with tokens, recurs creatures from the graveyard, and amplifies death triggers through redundant drain effects from enchantments, creatures, and artifacts, making every sacrifice or combat loss punishing for opponents. The Masamune is uniquely central to the late game, equipping Sephiroth to double every death-triggered drain ability he or his emblem generates during attacks, turning mass sacrifice outlets into game-ending life swings.
