Omnath, Locus of Creation is a four-color landfall commander that rewards putting multiple lands onto the battlefield in a single turn. The first land each turn gains 4 life, the second adds one mana of each of its colors, and the third has Omnath itself deal 4 damage to each opponent and each planeswalker they control. Extra land drops, fetch-style lands and effects that put lands into play outside the normal land drop let Omnath reach its third trigger as often as possible, including on opponents' turns. How it wins: The deck makes three or more landfall triggers turn after turn so Omnath repeatedly deals 4 damage to every opponent, adding combat pressure and other landfall payoffs to finish games while the lifegain keeps it alive. Key roles: - Extra land drops: Effects that let the deck play additional lands each turn, so a single turn can produce the second and third landfall triggers needed for Omnath's mana and damage (Omnath, Locus of Creation). - Multi-trigger lands: Lands that sacrifice themselves to fetch another land, or bounce and replay lands, so one land drop counts as two or more landfall triggers and the triggers can also happen on other players' turns. - Ramp that puts lands onto the battlefield: Spells and creatures that put land cards directly onto the battlefield rather than into hand, both accelerating into a four-color commander and generating landfall triggers. - Land card flow: Draw, top-of-library play and land recursion that keep enough lands in hand or available from the graveyard to chain multiple drops every turn. - Damage amplifiers: Effects that care about Omnath dealing noncombat damage, such as lifelink, deathtouch or "whenever a source deals damage" triggers, to turn the third-trigger burst into extra life or lethal pressure. - Mana sinks for the second trigger: Instant-speed spells and activated abilities that use the burst of four-color mana from the second landfall trigger mid-turn, often to set up the third trigger.
