Myrkul Birthing Pod

Myrkul, Lord of Bones Commander Deck

by altered_juggernaut100 cards

Myrkul turns every nontoken creature that dies into an enchantment token copy of itself. The deck sacrifices creatures on purpose: mana dorks, utility bodies and value creatures go to Birthing Pod-style tutor chains and free sac outlets, and each one comes back as a non-creature enchantment that keeps its abilities. Those enchantment copies then feed a constellation and enchantment-count engine that draws cards, makes mana, shrinks opposing boards and builds up a large resilient board, with recursion and token doubling squeezing extra value from every death. How it wins: It overwhelms opponents with an ever-growing board of enchantment-copied value engines, flying Pegasus tokens, Starfield-animated enchantments and big threats, and can also lock out damage by turning Barrenton Medic into an enchantment that untaps forever. Key roles: - Sacrifice-to-tutor chains: Sacrificing creatures to fetch the next creature up the curve both assembles pieces and triggers Myrkul, so each step leaves an enchantment copy behind (Birthing Pod, Birthing Ritual, Eldritch Evolution). - Sac outlets and death payoffs: Free and incidental sacrifice outlets let any creature die on demand, while death triggers draw cards, dig for creatures and return creatures to rebuild the board (Viscera Seer, Moldervine Reclamation, Meren of Clan Nel Toth). - Enchantment-copy combos: Creatures whose drawbacks are -1/-1 counters lose those limits as non-creature enchantments, so their untap abilities become infinite repeatable effects, such as a damage-prevention lock or unbounded green mana (Barrenton Medic, Devoted Druid). - Constellation engine: Every Myrkul token and enchantment that enters draws cards, sweeps opposing creatures, makes flying lifelinking Pegasi or ramps, and the enchantment count scales mana and defenses (Eidolon of Blossoms, Archon of Sun's Grace, Doomwake Giant). - Token and enchantment doubling: Copy effects multiply the enchantment tokens and their abilities, and turn a large enchantment count into creatures or attack taxes (Second Harvest, Ondu Spiritdancer, Starfield of Nyx). - Graveyard theft and reanimation: Opposing and personal creature cards in graveyards are pulled back into play, giving more bodies to sacrifice and copy (Avacyn, Angel of Horror, Debtors' Knell, Gisa, Glorious Resurrector).
