Lathlis mono red
Lathliss, Dragon Queen Commander Deck
This is a mono-red Dragon tribal deck built around Lathliss, who makes a 5/5 flying Dragon token every time another nontoken Dragon enters, so each Dragon cast counts twice. A heavy package of Dragon cost reducers, rituals and treasure gets the expensive Dragons down fast. Enter-the-battlefield damage engines then turn every Dragon landing, tokens included, into direct burn, and haste enablers let the growing flying army attack immediately. How it wins: It overwhelms opponents with a large hasty air force of Dragons and tokens, pumped by Lathliss and anthem effects and swinging through extra combats or double strike, while Dragon-entry burn finishes off players and blockers. Key roles: - Dragon cost reduction and ramp: Discounts, Dragon-only mana and treasure let the deck cast several Dragons a turn and doubles Lathliss's token output early (Dragonspeaker Shaman, Orb of Dragonkind, Herald's Horn). - Token multiplication: Beyond Lathliss, several Dragons create extra 5/5 or 6/6 flyers every upkeep or attack, building an army that snowballs quickly (Utvara Hellkite, Skyline Despot, Dragonmaster Outcast). - Dragon-entry burn: Enchantments and Dragons that deal damage whenever a Dragon or creature enters turn every cast and every Lathliss token into removal or face damage, scaling with Dragon count (Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Tempest, Warstorm Surge). - Haste and cheat-in: Haste sources and free deployment let new Dragons and fresh tokens attack the turn they arrive, closing the window for opponents to answer (Carnelian Orb of Dragonkind, Anger, Minion of the Mighty). - Combat multipliers: Extra combat steps, team-wide double strike, power anthems and Lathliss's firebreathing turn a wide board into a lethal swing (Scourge of the Throne, Terror of Mount Velus, Crucible of Fire). - One-sided sweepers: Damage sweepers that spare Dragons or fliers, or that are fired from a huge Dragon, clear blockers while the air force survives (Breath Weapon, Magmaquake, Chandra's Ignition). - Card flow and impulse value: Looting, top-of-library casting and exile-to-play effects keep the Dragons flowing, while Dragon-triggered recursion like the returning Dragonstorm rebuys value (Thundermane Dragon, Breaching Dragonstorm, Dragon's Hoard).
