Hazel of the Rootbloom sits at the center of a token-doubling engine, using her end step ability to exponentially grow a board of Squirrels and other creature tokens, then tapping those tokens through her mana ability to generate enormous amounts of colored mana. The deck leverages mass token-copying effects like Doubling Season and Second Harvest to achieve critical mass, then converts that overwhelming board into a win through combat buffing via Craterhoof Behemoth or through death-and-token-creation triggers that drain opponents via payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, and Blood Artist. Chatterfang, Squirrel General amplifies every token creation event into additional Squirrel production, ensuring the board scales rapidly and that the commander's mana tap ability can fund explosive turns.
