Five-color Spider tribal: the deck fills the board with Spider creatures and tokens. Cosmic Spider-Man then gives every other Spider flying, first strike, trample, lifelink and haste at the start of each combat, so even small Spiders become evasive, lifelinking attackers that swing the turn they land. Around that keyword grant, the list stacks +1/+1 counters and anthems on Spiders, cheats creatures in off the top of the library, and turns combat damage into card advantage and copies. How it wins: It swarms with keyword-granted, counter-pumped Spiders that fly and trample over blockers, gaining life with every swing, until opponents fall to repeated wide combat steps. Key roles: - Spider density and bodies: A large count of Spider creatures, plus token makers and ways to fetch Spiders, gives Cosmic Spider-Man's combat trigger as many recipients as possible. (Peter Parker, Spiders-Man, Heroic Horde, Radioactive Spider) - Counters and pump: Enter and attack triggers, landfall and anthems grow the Spiders, and doubling all counters turns trampling, lifelinking fliers into lethal threats. (Miles Morales, Araña, Heart of the Spider, Spider-Ham, Peter Porker) - Web-slinging tempo: Cheap alternate casts return tapped attackers to hand, which rebuys enter triggers and grows a Spider that enters with counters. Spiders cast this way still swing that turn because the commander grants haste. (Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly, Spider-Man, Web-Slinger, Spider-Man India) - Top-of-library value: Playing cards from the top or from exile, and putting creatures straight onto the battlefield, keeps Spiders flowing. Some of these also pay off playing from exile, such as the end-step damage and Ghost-Spider's counters. (Madame Web, Clairvoyant, Web of Life and Destiny, Spider-Man 2099) - Combat-damage payoffs: Evasive Spiders connecting turn hits into token copies, cards and impulse draws, and lifelink offsets life paid to cast off the top. (Impostor Syndrome, Symbiote Spider-Man, Gwenom, Remorseless) - Board control for the swarm: Spider-sparing sweepers, deathtouch and ward granted to all Spiders, and tapping effects clear blockers while protecting the team. (Kindred Dominance, Shelob, Child of Ungoliant, Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior)
