Haakon, Stromgald Scourge enables the deck's engine by allowing Knights to be cast repeatedly from the graveyard, fueling a loop of death triggers, card draw, and mana generation as Knights die and are recurred. The deck uses discard outlets, graveyard tutors, and mana acceleration to assemble its primary win condition: combining Syr Konrad, the Grim with Tortured Existence and K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to loop creature cards through the graveyard infinitely, dealing damage to all opponents with each cycle. Supporting pieces drain opponents through life loss on creature casts and deaths, generate card advantage off creature deaths, and use Bolas's Citadel as an alternate route to overwhelming board presence and damage.
