Liliana the Repentant Commander Deck

Liliana the Repentant leads a mono-black Zombie reanimator deck where every creature or planeswalker entering mills two cards. Mill effects fill the graveyard, and the deck turns it into card advantage and board presence through cheap Zombies, reanimation spells and recursive bodies. Zombie lords and tribal payoffs turn the stream of returned creatures and tokens into a lethal swarm, while big reanimation targets and one-shot mass reanimation provide explosive swings, with Liliana's one-time exhaust returning a key threat late. How it wins: It overwhelms opponents with a pumped, evasive Zombie army, backed by drain effects from creatures dying, cards being milled and creature spells being cast, plus huge reanimated threats that strip opposing boards. Key roles: - Self-mill engine: Liliana the Repentant's enter triggers pair with creatures and permanents that dump cards from the library, stocking the graveyard with reanimation targets and Zombie counts (Stitcher's Supplier, Necromancer's Assistant, Overlord of the Balemurk). - Reanimation and recursion: Single-target and mass returns put milled threats onto the battlefield, while recursive Zombies keep re-entering to retrigger the mill (Reanimate, Living Death, Rise of the Dark Realms). - Big payoff targets: Expensive bombs meant to be cheated out of the graveyard that kill opposing creatures, protect the board or snowball value (Archon of Cruelty, Avacyn, Angel of Horror, Grave Titan). - Zombie tribal swarm: Token makers, Zombies that scale with the graveyard, and lords that grant stats, deathtouch and evasion turn a wide board into a lethal attack (Death Baron, Diregraf Colossus, Army of the Damned). - Sacrifice and edict value: Sac outlets and edict creatures feed one another, converting spare bodies into cards, opposing sacrifices and fresh recursion triggers (Ravenous Rotbelly, Fell Stinger, Victimize). - Death and mill drain: Damage and life loss trigger off creatures dying, cards hitting the graveyard and creature spells being cast, closing games without combat (Syr Konrad, the Grim, Polluted Cistern // Dim Oubliette, Plague Belcher).
