Malik, Grim Manipulator
Malik, Grim Manipulator Commander Deck
This deck is a forced-sacrifice ("edict") list built around Malik, Grim Manipulator. Every edict, Grave Pact-style trigger and wrath-like "sacrifice all but one" effect strips opponents' boards while Malik turns each opponent sacrifice into a Treasure. Repeatable edict creatures are flickered and their enter triggers doubled, including Malik's own targeted double-edict. The Treasure flood fuels big turns and feeds artifact and token drain payoffs, while sacrifice and death triggers chip away at life totals. How it wins: By locking opponents out of keeping creatures, then draining them out through death, sacrifice and Treasure triggers, finishing with a large Exsanguinate, combat from evasive threats, or a Revel in Riches upkeep win off a pile of Treasures. Key roles: - Edict creatures and blink: Creatures whose enter triggers make each player or opponent sacrifice get reused by flicker spells and end-step blinkers, and Panharmonicon doubles those triggers, turning Malik and the Marauders into repeatable sacrifice engines. (Fleshbag Marauder, Conjurer's Closet, Panharmonicon) - Board-wide sacrifice pressure: Dying creatures trigger mass edicts, and recurring upkeep or end-step sacrifice effects plus one-sided pseudo-wraths leave opponents with almost nothing while each sacrifice feeds Malik. (Grave Pact, Archfiend of Depravity, Sheoldred, Whispering One) - Treasure multiplication: Opponent sacrifices and creature deaths generate Treasures, and replacement effects multiply every token made, powering ramp, card draw off Treasure-spent spells, and the ten-Treasure alternate win. (Academy Manufactor, Xorn, Revel in Riches) - Drain payoffs: Token creation, token departure, artifacts entering or leaving, and sacrifices each ping or drain opponents, so the Treasure stream doubles as a damage engine. (Mayhem Devil, Marionette Master, Kambal, Profiteering Mayor) - Stealing the sacrificed: Opponents' sacrificed or discarded permanents and creatures in graveyards come back under this deck's control, turning their losses into this deck's board. (Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern, Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher, Reanimate) - Finishers: Excess Treasure mana fuels a lethal X drain, and hasty or evasive dragons close games once blockers are gone. (Exsanguinate, Goldspan Dragon, Smaug, Wicked Worm)
