Anje Falkenrath serves as a madness engine, tapping to loot through the deck and untapping for free whenever a madness card is discarded, enabling rapid card filtering and cheap madness spells like removal, creature deployment, and token generation. The deck leverages this constant discard activity to fuel payoffs such as Bone Miser generating mana and tokens, Faith of the Devoted draining life, and enter-the-battlefield or death trigger creatures that repeatedly recur themselves or punish opponents. The win condition is attrition through card advantage and value accumulation, closing games with life drain, a horde of tokens and reanimated threats, or a large Gray Merchant of Asphodel draining the table.
