The deck uses Vial Smasher the Fierce to deal burst damage to opponents by casting high-mana-value spells, with flash enablers like Vedalken Orrery and Leyline of Anticipation allowing spells to be cast on opponents' turns to trigger Vial Smasher multiple times per round. Seedborn Muse and Wilderness Reclamation maximize mana availability across all turns, enabling Thrasios, Triton Hero to repeatedly convert excess mana into card advantage and land acceleration. The deck closes games through accumulated Vial Smasher damage amplified by Wound Reflection, which doubles all life loss opponents suffer each turn, while expensive spells and extra turn effects like Time Stretch serve as both finishers and damage sources.
