Lathliss, Dragon Queen

Lathliss, Dragon Queen Commander Deck

by ethereal_advisor100 cards

Mono-red Dragon tribal that ramps and discounts into big flying Dragons. Each nontoken Dragon entering makes Lathliss, Dragon Queen create an extra 5/5 flyer, so the board snowballs into a wide air force. Dragon enter triggers then double as burn, while extra-combat and double-strike effects plus Lathliss's firebreathing pump turn that swarm into lethal damage. How it wins: It floods the board with Dragons and Dragon tokens, then swings with pumped, hasted flyers, often over extra combats or with double strike, finishing opponents off with burn from Dragons entering. Key roles: - Dragon cost reduction and ramp: These cards discount and accelerate Dragon spells so the expensive threats, and the Lathliss, Dragon Queen token triggers they bring, come down turns early. (Dragonspeaker Shaman, Orb of Dragonkind, Nogi, Draco-Zealot) - Token multiplication: Recurring or triggered Dragon-token makers stack with Lathliss, Dragon Queen to build an overwhelming flying board, and changeling or part-time Dragons add to the Dragon count. (Utvara Hellkite, Skyline Despot, Dragonmaster Outcast) - Enter-the-battlefield burn: Every Dragon or creature that enters deals damage scaling with Dragon count or power, turning deployment into removal and direct reach. (Dragon Tempest, Warstorm Surge, Firespitter Whelp) - Combat multipliers and haste: Extra combats, double strike, team pumps and mass haste convert the Dragon board into explosive one-turn kills. (Scourge of the Throne, Hellkite Charger, Terror of Mount Velus) - Flyer-safe sweepers: Damage sweepers that spare flyers or Dragons, plus symmetric wipes, clear ground blockers or reset losing boards, while Chandra's Ignition can turn a huge Dragon into a one-sided wipe and a finisher. (Breath Weapon, Magmaquake, Chandra's Ignition) - Impulse card advantage: Exile-and-play effects and looting keep the Dragon pipeline flowing despite red's weak draw. Several of them reward high-power creatures or damage dealt to opponents. (Thundermane Dragon, Breaching Dragonstorm, Parapet Thrasher)
