Iroas, God of Victory
Iroas, God of Victory Commander Deck
Iroas lets an aggressive Boros token army attack freely every turn. Its creatures gain menace and take no damage while attacking, and it serves as an indestructible enchantment that rarely needs to become a creature. Cheap attack-trigger creatures make tapped-and-attacking tokens. Multipliers such as token doubling, doubled attack triggers, double strike, triple damage and extra combat phases stack on top. This however, is not the true goal of the deck. The goal of the deck is to sudden death the opponent with Iroas as an attacking creature while we surprise them with our triple damage enchantments. One Iroas swing to the face with those is an instant death at 21 commander damage. With this in mind, we expect our entire decks resources to focus on fast mana generation, fast devotion generation and enough card draw to get those enchantements fast enough to have a surprise Iroas swinging from left field. How it wins: Triple damage enchantement with iroas for instant kill. Tokens are sacrifice/skull clamp victims Key roles: - Attack-trigger token makers: These creatures create tapped-and-attacking or attack-generated tokens every combat, widening the board while Iroas keeps the attackers alive and hard to block (Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Myrel, Shield of Argive, Ainok Strike Leader). - Trigger and token multipliers: These double the token output or make attack and small-creature triggers fire extra times, turning each swing into an explosion of bodies (Elspeth, Storm Slayer, Windcrag Siege, Delney, Streetwise Lookout). - Damage amplification and extra combat: Double strike, damage tripling and additional combat phases with untaps convert the wide board into lethal, while Iroas's damage prevention makes repeated attacks free (Blade Historian, Fiery Emancipation, Aurelia, the Warleader). - Stax and silence: Spell-limiting pieces and effects that stop opponents casting during the deck's turn shut down blockers, fogs and removal so the alpha strike resolves (Grand Abolisher, Rule of Law, Drannith Magistrate). - Fast mana and combat-fueled treasure: Rituals, zero-cost artifacts and cost reducers deploy threats early, and damage- or draw-triggered Treasure refuels follow-ups (Mana Vault, Smothering Tithe, Professional Face-Breaker). - Tutor and recruit chain: Creature tutors fetch small-bodied engine pieces, and Winota cheats Humans into play attacking off non-Human tokens (Imperial Recruiter, Recruiter of the Guard, Winota, Joiner of Forces).
