Saruman, the White Hand sits at the center of a spell-slinging strategy that converts every noncreature spell into growth for a single massive Orc Army token, which is then amplified by support creatures that add extra counters to every amass trigger and grant trample and menace to make that token nearly unstoppable in combat. The deck layers on drain and damage effects that punish opponents whenever instants and sorceries are cast, while spells that copy your second spell each turn — most powerfully through Storm of Saruman — let you double amass triggers and damage output simultaneously. Reanimation spells, flashback cards, and graveyard recursion ensure the engine stays fueled, with the Army threatening to close out games through a single enormous trample attack.
