Thor, God of Thunder
Thor, God of Thunder Commander Deck
Mono-red spellslinger built around Thor, God of Thunder. Every noncreature spell is turned into burn equal to its mana value, so expensive spells, rituals and card-flow spells all double as removal or face damage. A layer of damage amplifiers multiplies each Thor trigger and every small ping, cost reducers and spell-fueled mana let the deck chain many spells in one turn, and Thor's enter trigger replays a key instant, sorcery or Equipment from the graveyard. How it wins: It chains noncreature spells in one big turn, so Thor triggers and each-opponent pingers, scaled up by the damage doublers and adders, burn the whole table out, with Crackle with Power or Thor in combat wearing Mjölnir as finishers. Key roles: - Damage multipliers: Static effects that add to, double or triple damage from sources the player controls. They turn Thor's mana-value triggers and one-point pings into lethal amounts, and several of them stack on each other. (Fiery Emancipation, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell) - Spellcast pingers: Creatures and enchantments that punish each opponent whenever an instant, sorcery or other noncreature spell is cast. They give every cheap spell table-wide reach alongside Thor's single-target hit. (Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Thunderdrum Soloist) - Spell-fueled mana: Rituals, cost reducers and permanents that produce red mana or Treasure per spell cast. These keep the chain going in a single turn and make high-mana-value spells cheap Thor fuel. (Birgi, God of Storytelling, Storm-Kiln Artist, Seething Song) - Rummage and impulse draw: Discard-to-draw spells and exile-and-play effects refill the hand while each one counts as another noncreature cast. Some also reward dealing noncombat damage, which these effects tie back into. (Thor, Guardian of Midgard, Unexpected Windfall, Light Up the Stage) - Recursion and free casts: Effects that recast spells from the graveyard or library, including Thor's own enter trigger. They generate extra cast triggers without extra cards, and the copied spell from Mizzix's Mastery is itself cast. (Mizzix's Mastery, Improvisation Capstone, Laughing Mad) - Equipment and Thor as threat: Cheap Equipment counts as noncreature casts, and Thor's enter trigger can replay it from the graveyard. Haste and protection keep the engine alive, and Mjölnir doubles the damage of the worthy Thor in the air for a combat kill. (Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor, Lightning Greaves, Commander's Plate)
