Rootha, Mastering the Moment Commander Deck

by gr8skawt100 cards

Rootha rewards casting an instant or sorcery before combat each turn: it makes a hasty flying Elemental token as large as the most expensive spell cast that turn. The deck leans on high-mana-value spells, cost reducers that keep the token big while the spells get cheaper, and copy effects that multiply both the spells and the tokens. A wide spellslinger shell of cost reduction, treasure and mana engines, copy effects and token doublers turns big spell turns into large hasty flying armies and repeated damage. How it wins: It casts big instants and sorceries to make large hasty flying Elementals, multiplies them with token copiers and extra combats, and adds burn from spell-triggered damage and a damage-tripling turn. Key roles: - Big-spell payoffs: High-mana-value instants and sorceries raise the size of Rootha's token and fire Opus and prepared triggers, often while cost reducers and graveyard discounts make them cheap to cast. (Magma Opus, Furygale Flocking, Volcanic Salvo) - Cost reduction and spell mana: Cheap creatures lower the cost of instants and sorceries, while treasure makers and burst-mana spells fuel chains of several spells in one turn. (Stormcatch Mentor, Storm-Kiln Artist, Molten-Core Maestro) - Trigger and spell doubling: Copy effects and trigger doublers make spells and Rootha's combat trigger fire more than once, producing extra tokens, cards and mana. (Veyran, Voice of Duality, Thousand-Year Storm, Harmonic Prodigy) - Token copying: Copy spells and creatures duplicate the big Elemental token for an oversized hasty air force, sometimes converting every token into the best one. (Rionya, Fire Dancer, Redoubled Stormsinger, Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer) - Finishers and burn: Damage triplers, extra combats and pings on every spell cast turn a single big turn into lethal for the table. (Isengard Unleashed, Full Throttle, Thunderdrum Soloist) - Spell-fueled card flow and interaction: Card draw tied to spells keeps the chain going, while counterspells and cheap removal protect the turn. (Archmage Emeritus, Alania, Divergent Storm, Arcane Denial)
