Voltron-style Kotis deck: it grows the indestructible commander with +1/+1 counters, auras, equipment and pump, then pushes it through unblocked or with trample. Each hit exiles that many cards off the top of the defending player's library and lets Kotis cast any spells among them with mana value up to the damage dealt, for free. A counter-doubling package makes Kotis big enough that each hit becomes a big free-spell turn. Lands and ramp feed land-count scaling and landfall, and a hexproof and counterspell suite keeps the commander on the board. How it wins: Repeated commander damage from a huge, evasive or trampling Kotis, with the free spells stolen from opponents' libraries snowballing the advantage until opponents die to combat damage or the 21-damage commander rule. Key roles: - Counter growth and doubling: Repeatable and burst +1/+1 counters, multiplied by doublers, turn Kotis's base 2 power into lethal size. This also raises the mana value of the spells each hit can cast. (The Earth Crystal, Innkeeper's Talent, Jenova, Ancient Calamity) - Land-scaled power: Ramp and landfall pieces grow Kotis directly. Bigger land counts also feed equipment and counter spells that scale with lands. (Blackblade Reforged, Will of the Sultai, Beorn's Hospitality) - Evasion and trample: Unblockability and trample make sure Kotis actually connects, since the trigger needs combat damage to a player. (Aqueous Form, Garruk's Uprising, Rogue's Passage) - Protection and untap tricks: Indestructible already covers destroy effects, so hexproof grants, ward, bounce answers and counterspells guard against exile, bounce and stolen-tempo answers. Untap tricks also let Kotis attack and still defend. (Asceticism, Saved by the Shell, Octopus Form) - Casting from opponents' resources: Other cards that exile or steal from opponents' libraries add to the Kotis plan. Casting spells from outside the hand also triggers extra counters and end-step untaps. (The Thirteenth Doctor, Krang & Shredder, Jhoira, Weatherlight Corsair) - Big-creature card flow: Draw engines key off connecting with opponents, controlling the largest creature, or high-power creatures, and enchantments add constellation-style draws.
