Phenax, God of Deception Commander Deck

by glacial_necron100 cards

Phenax turns every creature into a mill engine, so the deck packs high-toughness defenders and walls that tap to mill a player for their toughness. Untap effects let those big-butt creatures activate again and again. Spell-based and trigger-based mill, amplified by mill doublers and graveyard-scaling payoffs, strips all three libraries while the wall-heavy board and counterspells keep the deck alive. How it wins: It empties opponents' libraries through repeated toughness-based Phenax activations, mass mill spells and mill amplifiers, sometimes finishing with a doubling mill loop off a graveyard-scaling effect. Key roles: - High-toughness millers: walls and defenders with huge toughness turn the Phenax-granted tap ability into a mill of seven or more cards each, and block well while doing it (Charix, the Raging Isle, Caelorna, Coral Tyrant, Glacial Wall). - Untap and haste engine: untapping the whole board or single creatures lets the Phenax ability fire several times per turn, and haste lets fresh walls mill right away (Unstoppable Plan, Dramatic Reversal, Ioreth of the Healing House). - Mill amplifiers and graveyard doublers: these add extra cards to every mill or mill a player equal to their graveyard size, making each activation and spell snowball (The Water Crystal, Riverchurn Monument, Consuming Aberration). - Bulk mill spells and triggers: big one-shot and recurring mill effects finish libraries and enable the doubling loops (Maddening Cacophony, Singularity Rupture, Court of Cunning). - Mill-fueled card advantage: draws and creature-activation triggers turn milling into cards, some of which feed back into more mill (Psychic Corrosion, Mirelurk Queen, Elrond, Moon-Reader). - Graveyard-scaling threats and hate: creatures grow from opponents' filled graveyards as backup damage, and graveyard exile and recursion lockouts stop opponents from abusing the cards they lose (Jace's Phantasm, Cruel Somnophage, Soulless Jailer).
