Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER leads a Voltron-style equipment deck that tutors and cheaply attaches Equipment to Cloud and other attackers. Each attack draws a card per equipped attacker and makes two Treasures once Cloud reaches 7 power. Power-boosting gear, damage doublers and triplers, double strike, and extra-combat effects turn one suited-up creature into lethal, while silence effects and cheap protection keep the attack safe. How it wins: A heavily equipped Cloud or other legend swings with double strike, damage multipliers and repeated combat phases to kill opponents through commander or combat damage, with the Aurelia, the Warleader plus Sword of Hearth and Home loop available as an infinite-combat finish. Key roles: - Equipment tutors and cheat-in: Finds the right Equipment and puts it into play or attaches it for free, getting around clunky equip costs and feeding Cloud's enter-the-battlefield attach and card draw on attack (Stoneforge Mystic, Godo, Bandit Warlord, Sigarda's Aid). - Power stacking past 7: Big stat boosts push Cloud over the Treasure threshold and turn on Tifa's untap. Some boosts, like a buffed base power, also trigger Kutzil's draws (Colossus Hammer, Blackblade Reforged, Aettir and Priwen). - Damage multiplication and double strike: Doubles or triples each hit so a single connection is lethal, including mass-damage spells cast off a huge creature (Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor, Halvar, God of Battle, Fiery Emancipation). - Extra combats and untaps: Repeated combat phases re-trigger Cloud's draw and Treasures and any sword damage triggers. Aurelia's untap with Sword of Hearth and Home's blink loops into infinite combats (Aurelia, the Warleader, Tifa, Martial Artist, Aggravated Assault). - Combat-damage value swords: Hit triggers draw cards, untap lands and free-cast spells. Cloud, Midgar Mercenary doubles these triggers, keeping the engine fueled (Sword of Feast and Famine, Buster Sword, Cloud, Midgar Mercenary). - Silence and protection: Stops opponents from casting spells during the combat turn and shields the lone threat with protection, indestructibility or phasing (Grand Abolisher, Conqueror's Flail, Mother of Runes).
