Squall, SeeD Mercenary leads an aggressive solo-attacker strategy, sending individual creatures into combat to trigger double strike and then using the resulting combat damage to repeatedly recur low-cost permanents from the graveyard to the battlefield. The deck supports this loop with a deep graveyard recursion package, including mass reanimation spells and creatures like Moseo, Vein's New Dean that return additional permanents whenever life is gained, creating a snowball of value. A heavy lifegain subtheme — fueled by lifelink creatures, drain effects from South Wind Avatar, and payoffs like Lunar Convocation — drains opponents' life totals while keeping Squall's controller healthy enough to sustain the aggressive gameplan.
