The Destined Warrior
The Destined Warrior Commander Deck
Party aggro built around The Destined Warrior. The deck fields cheap Clerics, Rogues, Warriors and Wizards, many discounted by the commander, to assemble a full party. That turns the commander's beginning-of-combat trigger into +3/+0 for the whole team and switches on a suite of full-party payoffs. Evasive, protected attackers then convert the pump into combat damage that draws cards and makes Treasure, backed by efficient interaction and a Duskmantle Guildmage plus Mindcrank combo as an alternate kill. How it wins: Repeated pumped, evasive alpha strikes with a full party, while the Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank combo can drain or mill out the whole table once both are on the battlefield. Key roles: - Party assembly: Cheap creatures of the four party types, plus changelings that count as any missing member, fill out the party quickly and lean on the commander's cost reduction and top-of-library casting. (Changeling Outcast, Mirror Entity, Nalia de'Arnise) - Full-party payoffs: Cards that scale with party size or demand a full party add counters, deathtouch, flying, lockdown, drain, Treasure and free spells on top of the commander's team-wide pump, and the party-cost spells get cheaper the more members are out. (Linvala, Shield of Sea Gate, Burakos, Party Leader, Coveted Prize) - Warrior aggression: Warrior lords and evasion granters make the attacks stick, giving menace, vigilance and extra power, with recursive bodies to keep pressure up. (Chief of the Edge, Blood-Chin Rager, Seasoned Dungeoneer) - Combat-damage card flow: Connecting attackers refill the hand and ramp through draws on damage and on opponents' life loss, plus Treasure, sustaining the aggro plan. (Mindblade Render, Bident of Thassa, Grim Hireling) - Protecting the board: Rune-granting Clerics, combat-turn lockout, tax effects and cheap counters shield the key creatures and attack turns from removal and sweepers. (Mother of Runes, Grand Abolisher, Unsettled Mariner) - Life loss into mill combo: Mindcrank turns every point of combat damage or drain into mill, and the Duskmantle Guildmage pairs with it for an infinite loop. Sacrifice outlets, death drains and mill triggers feed the same package. (Duskmantle Guildmage, Mindcrank, Zulaport Cutthroat)
