Bone Sephi-broth
Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel Commander Deck
This is a mono-black aristocrats deck. It turns a steady flow of expendable bodies, mostly Zombie tokens and recursive creatures, into drain, card draw and mana through sacrifice outlets. Sephiroth is the engine: his front face drains 1 for every other creature that dies and draws off sacrifices on entering or attacking. After four death triggers in one turn he transforms, leaving a permanent emblem that doubles the drain on every death, and his flying back face can sacrifice any number of creatures on attack to draw that many. The Masamune, placed on Sephiroth, makes each death trigger his drain and the emblem an additional time. How it wins: Sacrifice loops and mass deaths stack Sephiroth's drain, the emblem and the other death-triggered drainers until opponents' life totals run out, with big Zombie bodies and a flying Sephiroth attacking to finish. Key roles: - Death drain amplifiers: These stack with Sephiroth and the emblem so that every creature dying pings opponents several times. The Masamune multiplies Sephiroth's triggers on top of that. (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, The Masamune) - Free sacrifice outlets: These let creatures be sacrificed at will, often for mana or value, to hit Sephiroth's four-trigger transform threshold in a single turn and to fuel lethal loops. (Ashnod's Altar, Viscera Seer, Warren Soultrader) - Zombie token fodder: This package generates bodies to sacrifice, many of which replace themselves when they die and draw cards along the way. (Grave Titan, Headless Rider, Ghoulcaller Gisa) - Recursive creatures: These return from the graveyard repeatedly, giving endless sacrifice material. With a free outlet they become drain loops, and graveyard reanimation reloads the board. (Reassembling Skeleton, Gravecrawler, Phyrexian Reclamation) - Death-fueled card and mana engine: These turn each sacrifice into cards or Treasure, keeping the fuel flowing alongside Sephiroth's own draws. (Skullclamp, Pitiless Plunderer, Midnight Reaper) - Edict and mass-death control: These punish opponents' boards whenever creatures die, and wipes or mass-sacrifice effects trigger dozens of drains at once. (Grave Pact, Living Death, Mutilate)
