Ashling, the Limitless

Ashling, the Limitless Commander Deck

by wretched_gorgon100 cards

Five-color Elemental tribal built around Ashling turning every Elemental into an evoke spell. Casting a big Elemental for {4} gets its enter trigger immediately. Because the evoke sacrifice triggers Ashling, the deck also gets a hasty token copy that enters and triggers again, and that copy can be kept by paying WUBRG. ETB doublers, Elemental cost reducers and five-color mana fixing turn every expensive value or removal Elemental into a cheap double or quadruple trigger, while recursion brings the sacrificed cards back to do it again. How it wins: The deck builds an overwhelming board of hasty Elemental copies and tokens, then finishes with mass pump, encore and myriad attacks, plus direct damage from Elementals entering and dying. Key roles: - Evoke-and-copy value: Ashling makes a hand Elemental's enter trigger happen on the evoke and again on the hasty token copy. Other sacrifice outlets and cheat-in effects feed the same "sacrifice a nontoken Elemental" trigger. (Shriekmaw, Incandescent Soulstoke, Greater Good) - Trigger doubling: Effects that double enter or Elemental triggers multiply every removal, draw and token ETB, including those of Ashling's copies. (Yarok, the Desecrated, Panharmonicon, Twinflame Travelers) - Elemental mana and cost reduction: Tribal-locked mana creatures, lands and reducers make the {4} evoke cost or the full cost trivial, and help pay WUBRG to keep tokens. (Smokebraider, Urza's Incubator, Brighthearth Banneret) - Graveyard recursion loop: Sacrificed Elementals go to the graveyard, where they can be replayed or reanimated to re-trigger Ashling and their ETBs. (Horde of Notions, Muldrotha, the Gravetide, Riveteers Ascendancy) - Card flow off creature entries: Enchantments and Elementals draw or find more Elementals whenever big bodies enter, keeping the evoke chain fueled. (Garruk's Uprising, Risen Reef, Elemental Bond) - Damage and alpha strikes: Elementals entering or dying ping opponents directly, while mass pumps, myriad and encore tokens turn the wide hasty board into lethal combat. (Champion of the Path, Omnath, Locus of Rage, Jubilation)
