The Necrobloom
The Necrobloom Commander Deck
The Necrobloom turns every land drop into a creature token, a 0/1 Plant early and a 2/2 Zombie once seven differently named lands are out. The list is built around feeding those bodies into an aristocrats engine: sacrifice outlets and death triggers convert tokens and creatures into cards, life drain, more tokens and recursion. Extra land drops, fetch-style lands and land recursion keep the landfall stream flowing. Counter synergies stack on top, so creatures that die with +1/+1 counters return extra value, and token doublers and replacers like Divine Visitation and Thalisse amplify every land drop. How it wins: By overwhelming the board with tokens, often 4/4 flying Angels or Spirit swarms, and draining opponents through repeated sacrifice and death triggers, with The Gitrog Monster plus the commander's land dredge providing a combo kill off endless card draw and self-mill. Key roles: - Landfall token engine: Extra land drops, replaying lands from the graveyard and land-sacrificing ramp multiply landfall triggers, so each turn produces several bodies. (Oracle of Mul Daya, Ramunap Excavator, Retreat to Emeria) - Sacrifice outlets: Free or value-generating sacrifice effects turn spare tokens into land searches, card draw, scry and opponent sacrifices. (Priest of Forgotten Gods, Viscera Seer, Wight of the Reliquary) - Death-trigger payoffs: Dying creatures drain opponents, draw cards and spawn flying Spirits, and one card doubles every death trigger. (Teysa Karlov, Cauldron of Essence, Moldervine Reclamation) - Token amplification: Effects that upgrade or echo token creation turn humble Plants into Angels or a second wave of Spirits each end step. (Divine Visitation, Thalisse, Reverent Medium, Insidious Roots) - +1/+1 counter value: Counter placement and doubling make creatures that die with counters generate fliers and cards, and keep recurring them as Angels. (Winding Constrictor, Felisa, Fang of Silverquill, Valkyrie's Call) - Graveyard loop and Gitrog combo: Land dredge, self-mill and creature recursion refill the hand. Combined with Gitrog's land-to-graveyard draw, this produces infinite self-mill and card draw. (The Gitrog Monster, Buried Alive, Phyrexian Reclamation)
