Doran, Besieged by Time rewards fielding high-toughness creatures by making them cost less and pumping them to assign combat damage equal to their toughness when they attack or block, letting a board of cheap, beefy defenders become a devastating offensive force. The deck amplifies this with multiple redundant effects that convert toughness into combat damage, one-sided board wipes that spare high-toughness creatures, and a life gain subtheme that generates incremental advantages while fueling Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to drain opponents passively. When the board is established, Triumph of the Hordes can close out the game in a single swing by granting the army trample and infect, bypassing life totals entirely.
