Auntie Ool, Cursewretch Commander Deck

by necrotic_orc173 cards

The deck is a -1/-1 counter engine built around Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. Every time counters land on a creature, Ool draws a card if the player controls that creature, or drains its controller for 1 if they don't. Wither creatures, direct counter placement, blight costs and repeated proliferate turn each counter event into cards or life loss. A large suite of temporary -1/-1 sweepers, static shrink effects and death-trigger shrinks grinds opposing boards down so that only the counter-users' threats remain. How it wins: It wears opponents down with Ool's repeated life-loss triggers and drain effects while the shrunken enemy boards leave room for wither, persist and infect creatures to attack, with poison plus proliferate as a second route to the kill. Key roles: - Counter placement on opponents: Wither creatures, targeted counters and mass counter effects put -1/-1 counters on enemy creatures, making each controller lose life through Auntie Ool, Cursewretch while killing their creatures (Soul Snuffers, Contagion Engine, Kulrath Knight) - Self-blight card engine: Blight costs, creatures that enter with counters, and persist creatures put counters on the deck's own creatures, turning Auntie Ool, Cursewretch into a steady draw engine and paying off token and mana makers (Sinister Gnarlbark, Scuzzback Scrounger, Nest of Scarabs) - Proliferate multiplier: Each proliferate puts another counter on every marked creature, triggering Auntie Ool, Cursewretch once per creature, and also advances poison counters and planeswalker loyalty (Karn's Bastion, Contagion Clasp, Vraska, Betrayal's Sting) - Shrink sweepers and static debuffs: Mass -1/-1 spells and anthem-style shrink effects wipe out tokens and small creatures and leave survivors weakened for wither combat (Massacre Girl, Night of Souls' Betrayal, Marsh Casualties) - Death-trigger value: Creatures dying with counters on them draw cards, steal the dead creature, or make Treasure, so every board wipe refills resources (The Scorpion God, Necroskitter, The Reaper, King No More) - Infect and poison backup: Infect and toxic creatures, poison-adding effects, and token generation tied to poison offer an alternate win that proliferate pushes forward (Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, Phyrexian Swarmlord, Contaminant Grafter)
