The deck revolves around Ajani, Nacatl Pariah transforming into his planeswalker form by triggering Cat deaths, then using his loyalty abilities to flood the board with Cat tokens and buff the entire team with +1/+1 counters. The strategy layers life gain payoffs throughout, using creatures and enchantments that grow larger with each point of life gained, while token generators like Ocelot Pride, Leonin Warleader, and Brimaz keep the board wide and threatening. The deck wins through overwhelming combat with a massive, constantly-growing Cat army, with Felidar Sovereign providing an alternate victory condition if the life total climbs high enough.
