The Ur-Dragon sits in the command zone reducing Dragon spell costs from the start, while multiple layers of cost reduction including Morophon, the Boundless stacking with other effects to enable casting Dragons for free allow the deck to flood the board as quickly as possible. Once Dragons are attacking, The Ur-Dragon's triggered ability generates massive card advantage and free permanent drops, while combat payoffs punish opponents through double strike, mass creature debuffs, and exponentially growing token swarms. The deck wins by overwhelming opponents through combat or through targeted combos, most notably Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm enabling infinite ETB and death trigger loops with Bladewing the Risen and Terror of the Peaks, or Dragon Tempest pairing with Ancient Gold Dragon to generate near-infinite direct damage.
