The deck is an Esper spellslinger-tokens list. Casting noncreature spells, especially counterspells, removal and instants on opponents' turns, lets G'raha Tia pay life once per turn to make a Hero token carrying +1/+1 counters equal to the spell's mana value. Lifelink sources and life-drain spells refill the life spent, and token payoffs turn each new Hero into cards. Anthems, counter-based evasion and double strike then turn the growing board of countered Heroes into a lethal attack. How it wins: A wide board of counter-laden Heroes and tokens, pumped by anthems and made unblockable, flying or double-striking, attacks for lethal, with X life-drain sorceries as a finisher. Key roles: - Spell-cast engine: Cheap instants, cost reducers and other noncreature-spell triggers fire G'raha Tia on as many turns as possible, including opponents' turns, and grow or protect other spell-matter creatures along the way. (Lyse Hext, Estinien Varlineau, Flux Channeler) - Life as a resource: Lifelink on tokens and creatures, plus drain effects, offset the life paid for Heroes. Life-payment payoffs turn that spending into removal or bigger creatures. (Teysa Karlov, Whip of Erebos, Font of Agonies) - Token card advantage: Once-per-turn token and small-creature draw triggers turn each Hero or other token into a fresh card, keeping the spell chain fueled. (Caretaker's Talent, Bennie Bracks, Zoologist, Idol of Oblivion) - Counter amplification: Proliferate, counter doubling on attack and paying life to add counters push the countered Heroes into huge threats. (Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain, Madame Null, Power Broker, Flux Channeler) - Go-wide closers: Anthems, mass token makers and Hero-specific buffs widen and strengthen the board for an alpha strike. (Intangible Virtue, Cid, Timeless Artificer, The Crystal's Chosen) - Evasion and combat finish: Countered creatures become unblockable, flying or double-striking so the token army connects, and drain spells end games outright.
