The deck's gameplan revolves around attacking repeatedly with Ultima to spread blight counters across opponents' lands, stripping them of their land types and mana abilities and replacing them with colorless mana production, effectively dismantling enemy mana bases over time. Because Ultima doubles the colorless mana produced by tapped lands with blight counters, the deck accelerates its own mana dramatically as more of the table's lands become corrupted, funneling that colorless surplus into large, expensive threats or activated abilities.
