Niv-Mizzet, Parun Commander Deck

by ddonk100 cards

Niv-Mizzet, Parun is a spellslinger engine: every instant or sorcery any player casts draws a card, and every draw has Niv ping any target. The deck floods the board's spell count with cheap cantrips, counterspells and interaction, uses cost reducers and rituals to chain them, and stacks extra draw-damage engines and trigger doublers so each spell becomes a burst of cards and damage. Its strongest lines loop Niv's ping back into card draw, letting draws and damage feed each other until opponents are dead. How it wins: Niv-Mizzet, Parun deals damage to an opponent while enchanted with Curiosity or Ophidian Eye, or alongside Niv-Mizzet, Visionary, so each ping draws a card that pings again, killing the table; otherwise sheer volume of spells, draw-triggered drain and burn finishes them. Key roles: - Draw-damage loops: Pieces that turn Niv-Mizzet, Parun's damage to an opponent into more card draw, creating a self-sustaining loop that kills everyone (Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, Niv-Mizzet, Visionary). - Cheap spell density: A heavy suite of one- and two-mana cantrips and looters that each trigger the commander's draw and ping, fueling the engine and digging toward combo pieces (Brainstorm, Ponder, Frantic Search). - Counter-heavy control: Free and cheap counters protect the engine and combo while still triggering draws when cast, and opponents' spells feed the commander too (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Mana Drain). - Trigger doubling and redundancy: Wizards and magecraft payoffs that multiply triggers or duplicate the commander's effect, turning each spell into extra cards, damage or mana (Harmonic Prodigy, Veyran, Voice of Duality, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind). - Draw-punishing payoffs: Cards that convert every draw or spell cast into damage, life loss or bodies, closing games without the full combo (Psychosis Crawler, Guttersnipe, The Locust God). - Cost reduction and spell-fueled mana: Reducers and treasure or mana makers that let long chains of spells resolve in one turn (Goblin Electromancer, Storm-Kiln Artist, Vivi Ornitier).
