Grolnok, the Omnivore Commander Deck

by Sergi0rayz100 cards

Grolnok turns self-mill into card advantage. Every time a Frog attacks it mills three, and any permanent card milled from the library is exiled with a croak counter, where it can be played later. The deck is packed with Frogs and changelings to trigger Grolnok on every attack, plus a large suite of self-mill (Hedron Crab, Millikin, Perpetual Timepiece, Crawling Sensation, Riverchurn Monument) that converts the library into a second hand of castable creatures, lands and artifacts. Doc Aurlock makes those exiled cards cheaper to cast. How it wins: It grinds out value from milled permanents and beats down with buffed Frogs and counter-boosted creatures, with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries winning off an emptied library and the Riverchurn Monument plus Traumatize or Fleet Swallower combos available to mill an opponent out. Key roles: - Frog attackers: Frogs and every-type changelings trigger Grolnok's mill on each attack, while Frogify and Rapid Hybridization can even turn creatures into Frogs (Poison Dart Frog, Chitinous Graspling, Long River Lurker) - Self-mill engine: repeatable and burst milling feeds Grolnok's croak exile and doubles as the land drop and card supply, especially with landfall millers (Hedron Crab, Millikin, Perpetual Timepiece) - Playing from exile: cost reduction and land-heavy mills make croak-countered cards a cheap extra hand, with land-related payoffs like Crawling Sensation getting value from milled lands (Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius, Crawling Sensation, Rampant Frogantua) - Counters and combat payoffs: +1/+1 counter growth, trample and combat-damage card draw make attacking Frogs a real clock (Marcus, Mutant Mayor, Training Regimen, Plaxcaster Frogling) - Empty-library wins: drawing from an empty library after heavy self-mill becomes a victory instead of a loss (Laboratory Maniac, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries) - Opponent mill combo: the Monument's exhaust ability paired with a half-library mill finishes an opponent outright (Riverchurn Monument, Traumatize, Fleet Swallower)
