Felothar the Steadfast leads a defensive wall-based strategy that builds a fortress of high-toughness creatures, particularly those with defender, using their toughness to deal combat damage and generating card advantage by sacrificing them to the commander's activated ability. The deck leverages mass toughness-boosting effects, board wipes that selectively destroy high-power creatures while leaving its own low-power defenders intact, and mana acceleration through defender-based ramp pieces to establish a dominant board state. The primary win condition is a combo using Overkill and Jaws of Defeat to drain an opponent's life total near-instantly, with backup plans including Triumph of the Hordes, Craterhoof Behemoth, and Tree of Perdition as alternative closers.
