Y'shtola, Night's Blessed rewards casting high-cost noncreature spells by draining opponents for 2 and drawing cards whenever enough life is lost in a turn, building toward victory through a steady stream of interaction, counterspells, and card advantage. The deck uses a controlling shell of taxing effects, stax pieces, and permission to slow opponents down while accumulating resources through enchantments that reward drawing and paying life. From that position, the deck wins by assembling Tainted Pact with Jace, Wielder of Mysteries to draw from an empty library, or by combining Aetherflux Reservoir with Exquisite Blood for infinite life and damage.
